The number of Tectonic releases may have broken into triple-figures recently, but the label shows no sign of fatigue. If anything, recent drops from Riko Dan and now Ishan Sound are among some of the tuffest material in the Tectonic discography. This killer two-track sees the Young Echo member linking with first Hodge, then Muttley. ‘C5’ combines the serious bassweight of the pair’s Bristol home with kick-and-hi-hat tracking that shows off a trap influence. The resulting instrumental is sure to bring a special feeling to the club if deployed correctly. On the flip, Muttley ramps the tempo up to 140 for a grimey banger.
