A three-track EP that errs on the cosmic side here, coming courtesy of The Bunker New York. The first two efforts are the sort of needling techno tracks that will melt minds if deployed correctly. ‘Sub-Saharan Jitter’ has more than a whiff of Afrikan Sciences to it, beginning as it does with a pattering groove that slowly morphs into a insistent dancefloor jam. ‘Taiga’ does a similar thing while throwing classic Detroit and Chicago styles into the mix. The pretty, cinematic ‘1000 Pines’ is a fine palate cleanser.
