Hailing from Australia, producer Jasmine Guffond has been making music since the early 90s under various acts and guises – BA-KA, Alternahunk, Minit and Jasmina Maschina being a few. She released her debut album under her own name in 2015, the remarkable Yellow Bell, and returns to Sonic Pieces with her second, Traced. A striking interpretation of how digital technology both informs and controls our lives, and finding the delicate ground between sound-study and song, Traced is as subtle and compelling as a masterpiece should be.
