Scuba has been around the block a few times to know a gem when he finds it. Ron Blanco’s ‘I Wait’, along with a remix by Mall Grab, were both featured on Blanco’s 2016 debut EP for Rhythm Nation. However, their elevation to the Hotflush pantheon is sure to give them a much wider reach than they had with that initial pressing.

They certainly deserve the spotlight. ‘I Wait’ itself is a treat, all woozy shuffle and sighing synth pads, while the remix is the sort of lo-fi deep house roller that the name Mall Grab has become something of a byword for in recent times. The EP rounds out with another purring groove from Blanco in the form of ‘Loose Grip’.
