Focusing on the period between the mid 70s to early 80s in Turkeys vibrant music scene, Uzelli Psychedelic Anadolu is a real treat for fans of Kamuran Akkor, Selda Bagcan and lesser known sought after Turkish psych records. Drawn from the tape label Uzelli’s archives, the ten tracks span artists such as the world renowned Erkin Koray and disco-folk cult heroes Akbaba Ikilisi. There are multiple obscurer psych gems on here too though, so even those who have already dug deep into this amazing period of Turkish music will be surprised. Big recommendation from us in terms of compilations that have come in this month!
