Brazilian producer Daniela Caldellas returns to her electro/techno roots for her first release as Terr. ‘Burn the Past’ mixes bouncy house with a strong post-punk vibe. Strangely enough it works, thanks in part to a searingly cool vocal refrain and a bass line that sounds like its been fitted with caterpillar treads. ‘Metropolis’ is a dark juddering techno hybrid with synth work that flirts with driving electro pop. Focused tech house cut ‘May Day’ is sure to work big rooms with its fairground synth arpeggios and scraping FX.
