Rome’s vinyl label Blackwater inaugurate their Kapvt Mvndi imprint with an enticing split release of local producer Luciano Lamanna, fellow Italians Fire At Work and Welsh duo Somatic Responses. Fabio Recchia and Fabrizio Rossi alias Fire At Work open with an eerie, truly dark techno cut filled with unsettling arpeggios and hard punching kicks. The dissonance continues on Somatic Responses’ abstract, noisy sound experiment which is aptly titled 'Dark Ervption’. Luciano Lamanna finishes with the gritty techno of 'Giammai Per Sempre’, composed of propelling rhythms and sturdy repetition. Ad Rvina Imperii is set to be the first in a series of various artist releases — this is a promising start.
