Launched in 2007, this ensemble execute pretty much what they promise in their name. Tapping Is Clapping is a ferocious collection of tracks built from a freeform process of improvisation and exploration which then found a focus via the punk-indebted riffs of guitarist Kim Verbeke. The 14 tracks of this LP flaunt a kind of noise-rock/ improvisational hybrid that boldly ignores most protocol of LP-making in favour of an unstructured but undeniably invigorating product. Made up of 4 artists with mental disabilities, Tapping Is Clapping is testament to the cathartic and freeing power of music.
