London label Uzuri welcome back UK producer Jitterbug who resumes his slow, but steady output with another quality EP. The six-track outing shines in all different kinds of melodies - Jitterbug treats us with his warm, analogue sound, always on the edge of overdrive. ‘Sweet Tooth’ dives in with thick bass melodies and sunny guitar strumming - and sets the tone for the funky ‘Surge’, ‘Ache 4U’ with its sexy Fender Rhode chords and ‘Koko’ with its disco cymbals. ‘Jus Drums’ and ‘Trak 6’ see him focus on the percussive side of things: they appear in a drier, more stripped back version of his style.
