London-based producer Rushmore breaks fresh grounds with his debut on Hot Haus Recs. Having released a number of EPs for Trax Couture, he developed his signature style combining footwork with UK Grime in a retrofuturistic manner. The Dance Show EP logically carries forward what he’s started: chopped up, offensive vocal snippets and dry percussive elements take the title track back to its ghetto house roots. ‘Drop Top’ speeds up a notch, and ‘Run II’ resumes the precise production style with its monotone, obstinate synth note that nods its head to the rhythm. All topped off with the hard slapping claps of ‘Throwback’.
