Beating Domino to the bid, (they only got the B-sides and singles), New York post-punk aficionado's Acute Records release the classic collected releases from Scottish Post Punkers The Fire Engines. Frans Ferdinand and Bobby Gillespie quotes are something of an accolade on the sleeve, but it's the remarkable quality and depth of the music, angular rethinkings of pop, stripped down to basics are the thing here, obviously a sound that has had a massive effect on pop rock music. Quality goods.
