Jay Bliss turns in the relentless Tardigrade EP for Och’s Autoreply Music. Shuffling beats lead the way on the EP’s title track, as understated bells lend melody and grace to its stomping percussive thrust. ‘Rigil Kent’ is a muted groover, hypnotic in its dogged insistence. Gurgling basslines and sinister whines envelop the mix, an overall effect of unstoppable dancefloor action. ‘Lapilli’ closes the release with deft kicks and pulses, seductive and inviting while at the same time thoroughly single minded.
