Funkineven continues his analogue assault via his excellent Apron Records imprint, this time debuting Montreal-based producer Adam Feingold who gracefully dedicates his debut EP’s name to the label. The release follows in a similar vein to its predecessors, sitting somewhere between the harsher assaults of Greg Beato and the funkier arrangements of Seven Davis Jr. This is best represented on ‘Jahkra’, compiling a squiggling acid patch, rough and tumble drums and some melodic chord work together into a well balanced arrangement that sits well next to any of the recent L.I.E.S output or pieces from Delroy Edwards’ LA Club Resource.
