Light In The Attic are back with their second instalment of their hugely successful Country Funk series with Country Funk Volume II 1967 – 1974. Comprised of a wide selection of recordings that represent the very best of America’s rootin’ tootin’, hoe-down country music, Country Funk Volume II blends pieces from household names with more esoteric picks. Inclusions such as the smooth ‘Cajun Moon’ from J.J Cale and hip-swingin’ ‘Getting Happy’ from Dolly Parton cover some better-known territory but it's the more obscure picks like Bill Wilson’s saga-esque ‘Pay Day Give Away’ and Thomas Jefferson’s twanging ‘Collection Box’ that give the release its character.
