Following their Rinse debut ‘Turn It Around’, Billon return to the label affiliated with London’s most prestigious radio station for a second, more focussed offering. Taking their cue from classic house productions but with a twist that is distinctly British, the trio’s four tracks offer smooth house pads, crisp jacking percussion, and gorgeous lead vocal lines which will undoubtedly please fans of the genre. ‘Platypus’, however, stands out in its employment of low bass bounces which recall grime and dubstep, giving the EP a vital sense of darkness amongst all of the sumptuous splendour.
