Ttam Renet arrives on Mood Hut for the label’s third release, ‘On the Inner Plains’. The jacking, analogue house which characterises the EP has a tropical warmth that recalls Legowelt, with the Hut Mix of ‘Merging’ even recalling Phil Collins in its sound quality. ‘Thurian Retrograde’ is all flanging stabs that melt into a bed of sustained Detroit synths, while ‘Messages (Perspective)’ is led by an infectious shaker and robot vocal pairing which make it memorable, despite the abundance of lo-fi house being made at the moment.
