Adrian Utley reimagines Terry Riley's seminal piece 'In C' for electric guitars. The original piece composed in 1964 comprises 53 phrases to be played by musicians at any speed, any octave and with any instruments. Now Portishead's Ardian Utley has recorded a version of the piece with a nineteen strong orchestra of electric guitars and backed up by organ. It's an invigorating performance that adds yet another dimension to a piece that has been reinterpreted and presented many times in the last half a century.
