Japanese producer Sanae Yamasaki debuted in 2007 with ‘Drape’, an album of warm tunes that made good use of her breathy voice. After a hiatus to design apps/record voiceovers Yamasaki is back on 12k with an even more intricate work: ‘Mitosis’ is as molecular as its title suggests, filled with crackling oscilloscope activity on ‘Micro Porta’, glockenspiel chimes on ‘Wonder Particle’ and Yamasaki’s soft vocals over acoustic guitar on ‘Night Hike’.
