London reggae collective Soothsayers have jammed with Jamaican singer Cornell Campbell since 2011, blending his sweet, seasoned croon to some heavyweight dub signatures. This double LP on Strut represents the fruits of their work, with slinky, Stevie Wonder-like messages to the kids on ‘Never Give Up’ and spaced-out Jahtari sounds on ‘Conqueror’, swirling and trumpeting as Campbell howls “I’m in a good mood.” One complete listen and you’ll be the same.
