Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble pulls together an oddly moving mix for this Fabric release. Crafted at the tail end of 2020, just as the second COVID wave was starting to hit, Plessow pits minimal pieces by the likes of Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith against some riotous house and techno productions from The Order and Cabaret Voltaire — all the while, interjections from friends about the importance of music in times of crisis ground the finished product in our time and place.
