Previously accessible via a livestream of lo-fi nascent internet quality, Brian Eno’s rare 1998 performance with Can’s Holger Czukay and J. Peter Schwalm with his Slop Shop group finally arrives in album form. Arrays of equipment generate oscillating synthetic tremors and shifting samples, soundtracking the chefs’ orders and the hustle and bustle of diners as they dig into SUSHI! ROTI! REIBEKUCHEN! Excerpted from the three hour multimedia installation at the Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn, these glassy tones with sparking details eventually give way to propulsive drum solos and funk infused basslines in between adventurous dronescapes.
