Gigi Masin and Rod Modell trade lush longform remixes on Red Hair Girl At Lighthouse Beach for 13, the project of Italian label Silentes. Both tracks usher in sonic monsoons, layered with gushing synths. Trickling reverberations and long sighs of bowed strings wade through ‘Red Hair Girl At The Boat Stop’, with hand drum loops and delicately thumping dub techno rhythms submerged beneath the buzzing glow. Gigi Masin’s rework of ‘Summer Morning At Lighthouse Beach’ meanwhile blurs spare melodic keys and echoes of saxophone awash with exhaling ambience.
