Out on his own Wikset Enterprise imprint, 14K Figaro sees the New York rapper team up with longtime associate Tony Seltzer once again while operating in a looser, more celebratory lane that feels like a well-earned homecoming. Tracks like early single ‘The Routine’, ‘Scenic Route’, and ‘Fried Ice Cream’ invite listeners (and featured guests) into Wik’s own gap-toothed version of the city, where dense cultural references and casually dexterous rhyming meet beats that pull from virtually every strain of East Coast rap, and a handful elsewhere.
