Since the series started in 2001 ‘Pop Ambient’ has been a pillar of timeless experimentation – one to look forward to each year. With their 2013 edition, curated by Wolfgang Voigt, Kompakt introduces Michael Mayer’s ‘Pop Ambient’ debut as well as the new project from Matias Aguayo and Jorg Burger – Terrapin – and their beautiful deconstruction of Pink Floyd’s ‘Cirrus Minor’.
