Sheffield’s Beneath aka Ben Walker turned heads with his preliminary line of EPs on his own hand-stamped No Symbols and later on, Keysound Recordings. On this debut for Pinch’s Tectonic, he showcases more of that stripped-back, meticulously patterned club goodness. ‘Duty’ is a smudgy, groove-ridden fix of bass pleasure while the flip sees the snarling, ferocious ‘Texers’, with relentless, staggering drums. Seriously impressive.
