Amsterdam institution Rush Hour plucks a handful of essential tracks for UK house trio Bang The Party’s fruitful early period for the latest entry in their reissue series entitled I Feel Good All Over. Covering Bang The Party’s 1987-1990 output, this compilation sets eyes on the primordial period right between the initial Acid House explosion and the UK’s imperial era as the cultural epicenter of house and techno. Opening with the jaunty title track, the seams between house’s American midwest birthplace and its adoptive British caretakers are lovingly shown, but Bang The Party was clearly in their own lane by 1988’s ‘Release Your Body’. It’s a verifiable classic that could still whip dance floors into a frenzy on any given night.
