Urgent and insistent electronic nerve from Dobie AKA Tony Campbell, following on from recent EPs for Brownswood and remixes for both Wiley and Roots Manuva. Drawing an erratic path through numerous styles and genres, Dobie’s sound is hard to pin down. On occasion it swerves with acid lines and accelerated 808 patterns such as on ‘State of Flux’, or swims with soul and warm rhythm such as on ‘Gillet Sq N16’.
