Rough edged house mutations from UK producer Slackk as he presents a five track EP redolent of a multitude of influences. Whether he's looking to the rude flavoured sounds of grime, the frenetic vocal stabs of juke and footwork, or the raw jack and swing of east-coast house, Slackk, also known as Paul Lynch, does it with aplomb. Rugged beats that combine primal urges yet still explore some deeply melodic sensibility. Recommended.
