The pretender to Joy O's crown, dare we say it, George Fitzgerald, debuts on Will Saul's Aus Music imprint with two tracks of pure garage goodness, backed up by an excellent John Roberts remix. Fitzgerald works woozy layered synths and vocal samples to fine effect, however the remix is what really delivers the goods. Punctuated with broken rhythms and pumping kicks, its unpredictability is the real draw, layering clipped r'n'b vocal samples over deliciously dreamy signature Roberts style piano interludes.
