Found once-upon-a-time on Akufen's Musique Risquee label, this absolute belter of an a-side, 'Abandoned Ship', is classic 2-step done at its best. Tight drum sequences, and sliced-up Akufen / Todd Edwards-style vocal shreds bounce around rubbery subs and percussive clicks. Brilliant stuff! On the b-side, 'Last Kiss At The Plains Hotel' is a more shuffling, muted groove, but still makes for a compelling listen. Yet another feather-in-the-cap for WNCL
