On Requiem For a Rave Posthuman compose a love letter to the rave culture of Scotland and North East England’s of their teenage years. Rave, techno, house and more are channeled to express hazy, euphoric memories on this double 12” and mixtape cassette release. Nostalgic samples inflect the opening tracks before Posthuman wander through jungle ‘Tunnel’ acid ‘Rushing High’, breaks on the monstrous ‘MCRD’ like a bleary eyed reveller moving through sound systems. ‘Homecoming’ provides an ambient descent with a far off threat of violence before ‘Take Me Back’ leaves things slower and steadfastly upbeat.
