Vocalist and producer duo Amos and Truenoys, united under their A/T/O/S moniker, return to dubstep legend Mala’s Deep Medi Muzik imprint for more subbed-out dub numbers on waterman. The beats are as floaty and low-slung as ever, snipping with wayward samples and a deep, dark minimalism, as Amos’ soulful tones wisp their way across the steady marches. Hints of longing and mournfulness fill the lyrics of waterman with Portishead-like colours.
