Producer Eamon Harkin delivers some crisp house music from one of the genre’s many homes: New York City. But the vibe on See You in My Dreams is pure Detroit. The simmering minimalism of cheeky basslines and slight flourishes on ‘Querencia’ and the EP’s title track brings to mind the melodic sensibility and measured restraint of Jeff Mills and Derrick May, while DJ Sports’ remix of ‘Once Is Maybe Enough’ transforms the original tune’s chilled tone into a light break beat hit.
