DJ Krust is the second legendary originator to appear on Tempo Records’ Speed sub label, and it presents a marked departure from Krust’s usual drum and bass methodology. ‘The Fundamentalist’ muses on dubbed out ambience for nearly three minutes, as the producer lays the groundwork for the erratic beat that demolishes the remainder of the tune. Meanwhile, ‘Another Story’ plays out a similar rhythmic story, draped over a twilit flute phrase.
