Hypnotic deep techno from Italian duo natural/electronic.system here. The second release in Delsin’s Mantis series - the first came courtesy of Forest Drive West - these four tracks motor forwards on crisp minimal-techno beats that are then topped with dubbed-out sub-basslines and evocative, almost ambient-inspired pads. There’s a deftness to the production on tracks like ‘Marea’ which also nods to Mika Vainio. Fans of Deepchord and the output of Copenhagen’s Echocord label should surely check Mantis 02.
