Maurice Fulton becomes the third artist to grace Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records imprint after DMX Krew and Gou herself. Gou and Fulton collaborate on Earth’s opening number ‘Jigoo’, and this is the track here that veers closest to the label’s previous output, its chirpy chords and buoyant house beat reminiscent of Gou’s ‘Starry Night’. Fulton flies solo on the other two Earth cuts, both of which still maintain a perky house vibe while also drawing in some more oddball sounds - ‘One Itself’, with its squirming synths, is particularly quirky.
