Pacific UV perform gentle shoe gaze rock, with epic songs, intense God Speed You Black Emperor style rough passages and quiet moments, soppy Ride style singing combined with a warm country tinged way with the guitars which gives this band a particularly old fashioned American sound. It's a sweet if not amazing album, beautifully and clearly put together with lots of gentle airy layers of guitar, songs pile up rather than build up with a sweet melancholy.
