On the Shifts EP the Swedish-Iranian pianist/composer Shida Shahabi presents a lush update of the sound of artists like Nils Frahm, Max Richter and Hauschka. Tracks like ‘Futo’ also have a hint of Jonny Greenwood in the way their strings nod to the chamber music tradition but present a more widescreen sound.
