Scotland-based composer Matthew Collings on-boards lessons learnt from 2017’s Dag Rosenqvist collab Hello Darkness to convey the treachery of symbols all over Uzonia. Derived from a term used to denote American utopianism, Uzonia flips the promised land on its head in a post-fact, post-everything world via art house ambient, likely composed on Collings’ own custom made software. Even if this LP is mellowed to the core, it conveys nothing more than the cold chill of our treacherous present.
