The trio of Mike Gill, Nick Gynn and Johnny Hunter join forces as new outfit Superlux. Their eponymous debut offering - also the first release on the Superlux Records imprint - is a set of snapping retro-futurist electro of the sort one often finds released by Central Processing Unit. All of the four cuts on Superlux 001 are anchored by snapping 808s atop which we get an array of gurgling bass, dystopian synths and the occasional interjections of a deep, booming vocal.
