Austin Ato (Futureboogie, Phonica White) has the honour of providing Percolate Records with their first release. Ato rises to the challenge on When Love Gets Cold, turning in a set of melodious house and tech-house that toughens up as the record goes along. When Love Gets Cold kicks off with its title-track, a sweet sample-house joint reminiscent of Axel Boman. ‘To Fall In Love’, a similarly soulful track, follows up. ‘All I Want’ is where the record steels itself a little more - the propulsive drums and thick lead line are reminiscent of Bicep, an effect that continues into the pensive closer ‘Blessed’.
