The incomparable Anna Meredith drops her second studio LP via Moshi Moshi. On Fibs, Meredith continues to mark herself out as one of the most unique British composers currently working in any genre. Fibs has an extraordinarily varied set of sonic bedfellows - Bitte Orca-era Dirty Projectors, American Men’s Cool World, Planningtorock, PC Music and so much more are all seen through Meredith’s lens of proggy maximalism. The human voice also plays a more prominent role here than they did on Meredith’s debut LP Varmints - whereas vocals have previously been used to augment her tracks, some cuts on Fibs have singing front and centre.
