Psychemagik’s ‘Rattlesnake’ - the first track they’ve put out through Catz N’ Dogz’s Pets Recordings - is a delightfully sultry bit of tech-house. Darkside dub techno production and B-movie synthesisers give way to a hoofing bassline that will slink into your subconscious and stay there. It’s a surefire winner if deployed correctly. The Rattlesnake EP is fleshed out by remixes from Magda and Vyvyan - Vyvyan’s take has a touch of the Moroders about it while Magda speeds the original up without losing any of its sultry sensuality.
