After tearing the rave a new one with 2018’s Laika Test Project, Amish Boy (Hugues Croibien) is back on Power Vacuum with another set of industrial acid slammers. Nice Try Donnie! contains half a dozen tunes that rip out the speakers with devilish glee. The anarchic feel of tracks like ‘Funny Blups’ and ‘Simpler’ puts this EP very much in the Bunker Records lineage of Unit Moebius and Legowelt. Nice Try Donnie! is hard techno done right.
