If we told you that Where Neon Goes To Die was produced exclusively by Boys Noize we expect that you’d strap yourself in for a record of hi-octane EDM-techno, right? Well, let’s just say we were as surprised as you when we gave this thing a spin. This is a sleek, sexy album full of lush electro-r&b beats. Even the club jams here are sparky disco-soul tunes that are more Prince than Gesaffelstein. As for Clark himself? Well, he’s got a wonderful voice that nestles neatly among the instrumentals. Frank Ocean is the most immediate comparison.
