Derbyshire trio Haiku Salut drop their third LP with more eyes on them than there were for the first two. Since 2015’s sophomore full-length Etch & Etch Deep the Derbyshire trio have gained a fair amount of attention by featuring on a track from Public Service Broadcasting’s UK top 5 record Every Valley. However, on There Is No Elsewhere they sound as comfortable as ever. This is an LP of gentle, quietly rich instrumental music that draws from the same sound-world as Mum, Amiina and Yann Tiersen. The time spent working with PSB appears to have had a little influence on the group too - see the driving electronic vistas of entries like ‘Occupy’ and ‘The More And Moreness’.
