Post-punk and dub aficionado JD Twitch's near mythical 'Presents Adrian Sherwood' mix gets a proper physical release on old style pro-dubbed blue cassette by On-U. The mix was pieced together for the OHM Dedication Series three or so years ago and features a highly knowledgeable array of tracks from the vast smokey dub vaults of Sherwood's iconic history while acting as the perfect introduction for those looking for a way into the world of On-U Sound, a pioneering and very unique concoction of dub, post-punk and industrial music. The mix focuses on the more cold but funky side of the label by delving into On-U electro and coming out on the other end into the post-70's-post-punk experimentation often explored on the label's plates. No track list to provide but we have picked out classics from Tackhead, Fats Comet & Keith LeBlanc. JD Twitch is a long time admirer of On-U and consistently flies the flag for experimental underground music (we urge you to check his NTS post-punk special or the DIY Cease and Desist comp!) and this mix has been building in cult status over the years within underground circles online so it's an absolute pleasure for it to arrive in the physical format. 100 mins of life-affirming sounds with a killer sleeve and print design from Bristol's Studio Tape Echo, rewind selecta!
