Helter-skelter breakbeat techno from Cardiff’s Elmono here. The Cooper’s Dream EP is an ideal Tectonic release that fits in nicely with the label’s recent drops from Walton and Cocktail Party Effect. These four tracks come off like jungle slammers re-tooled for around 130bpm, the zipping synth lines and clattering drum breaks settled down into more rolling tempos. Mind you, the rugged bass and big bad kick drums on Coopers Dream means that these tracks still pack a real punch even if the rhythms are a little slower.
