James Ruskin is back on Tresor for the first time in a while - check out his excellent new Siklikal EP - so it’s only right that the label should get together a reissue of his label debut Point 2. Released all the way back in 2000, the Point 2 LP showed that the Blueprint Records boss was very much at home in his new surroundings. This is a set of precision-engineered techno grooves that can go up against anything made by Tresor’s other leading lights - Surgeon, Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills and so on. A new remastering job means that Point 2 now packs even more punch than it did the first time around.
