Kingbastard takes time away from frequent outpost Herb Recordings, instead linking up with DIY experimental collective Odd John Records for an epic voyage into the dark cosmic corners of experimental music. Eerie title track 'Subspace' opens up with tonnes of echo, building a nervous tension for the following slow building brood of 'Bok Globules'. 'Binary' and 'Reflective Binary' offer a more relaxing, downtempo vibe in contrast to the darker tones of 'Protostar' and 'Supernova – Remnants'.
